After 3 weeks in Nanjing I was hankering to return to be by the sea, and decompress. Nanjing was just 3 weeks of work, and, well, it's a long way from the sea. Not something someone born on, and living on an Oceanic Island is attuned too. I wanted a photo that said, "I'm home".
I turned up in the golden hour for the best light, and planned to stick around for the sunset. The sunset was thwarted by the thickening clouds that covered the sky at the time. But beforehand, the light worked for me. Here, the sun had come out from behind the clouds long enough to light up the crests of the waves. And deepen the colours in the water. Oaia Island is placed on the horizon.
