Auckland has a quite a range of varied beaches, from the sheltered and often calm, Hauraki Gulf across to the wilder West Coast beaches, exposed to the currents and wind-flows across the Tasman Sea.
One of my favourite West Coast beaches is O'Neill Bay, just north of Te Henga (or Bethell's Beach). On this expedition conditions were calmer so I opted to take a wide angle shot, looking south. For an added bonus I put on a strong ND filter to create this long exposure effect.
The combination of clear skies, a Sony a7Riii and a Zeiss Loxia lens captures a lot of detail
