1) Who are you?
I am currently a Graduate Student in the United States. My primary interest is academics, specifically the Social Sciences, and being even more specific, Marxism, Race, Class & Latin American.
I also enjoy cooking, Role-Playing Games, FPS titles, Open World Games, Horror Films and most sports.
2) What got me into to academic work?
To put it simply, the lack of quality answers people gave me on serious problems, especially friends and family growing up. Then the decline of society being exacerbated from the COVID-19 Pandemic, drove me to search for answers.
3) Why Marxism, Socialism, Communism or any leftist "-ism" ? (or even Social Democracy)
Well to put it bluntly, capitalism is quite obviously a failed experiment. Before people say that is not is not the case, take a good look around at the current state of society, and its teetering and cycling issues over the last one hundred years, if not longer.
When actually researched, read thoroughly, and understood, the answers many of these leftist perspectives provide, or theories they conjure to formulate answers to questions, make plenty of sense. Much more sense than ofter the idea that "things are just this way".
I would like to preface however, that these ideas are not omnipotent, and leftism, or being a leftist, is not a religion. There are so many sub-sects within leftism, which in itself is a problem, but, nonetheless, there is real discourse going on. And really action trying to be pursed.
4) What stuff will I publish?
My academic work that I see is fit for the website, or something I think is worthwhile to share outside the classroom, in both quality and relevance of topic.
Academic projects I embark in, beyond the classroom.
Discussions on news or events I think are important.
Blog posts, columns or articles, that are still of educational value, or of importance, but not as rigorous as an academic work.
I also would like to dabble in audio content, or even keynotes.
5) Where does the revenue generated go to?
The revenue generated has one use only, and that is to fund my academic endeavors. It will firstly fund my primary website, NicholasRG.com , then beyond that, to pay for the books, materials and other costs to produce some of this content, or make this content better.
Then, if I am fortunate enough to have any revenue leftover after the above, it will be used for my cost of living as a graduate student, which still, ultimately, affects my content and the quality of my work.
