Norwich Unity Hub was born from a simple belief: when people share space, they share possibility.

In a time when many charities and community organisations are struggling to afford premises, we are transforming under-used buildings into vibrant places of purpose, collaboration and hope.

Our first home, Carrow House - once the residence of the Colman family of Colman’s Mustard - is now alive again, filled with 25 VCSE organisations and 28 artist studios working side by side. By charging only for the space each organisation truly uses, and reinvesting income from room hire to keep costs low, we make it possible for small charities, social enterprises and creatives to thrive under one roof.

With 48 members and a waiting list for space, demand is clear and so is the impact. We are financially viable, building strong evidence of our social, economic and environmental value, and preparing to extend this model to other under-used buildings across Norwich. Together, we are protecting heritage, retrofitting spaces sustainably, and creating a community rooted in people, place and purpose. Because when we share buildings, we build something far greater.
