Thank you for visiting Peasant Stock, which is the name of the imaginary bistro/cafe that was ready to go real in 2009. I still have the official incorporated papers locked away in the studio. That fateful day when I was poised to finalize the lease for a downtown space, I got a call from a local gallery requesting I exhibit my paintings. A choice had to be made. This little coffee space exemplifies the path I took. My pockets are empty. I am a painter, writer, beggar creator. Please order our coffees and pay for them. I take mine black.
I paint and write 5-6 days a week. I make very little money and prefer it this way. Presently I am beginning a year long project to keep my income below the poverty line. I want to practice a mendicant lifestyle with mostly pride and a teeny bit of humility.
