I recently asked Elon Musk whether he would consider getting involved with Japan’s media landscape, and his response made me feel that this may be worth taking seriously.

This is something I care about deeply.
In my view, much of Japan’s major television and news coverage leans heavily to the political left, especially in its coverage of President Trump, Republicans, Elon Musk, and political developments in the United States.
I believe Japan needs a much broader range of voices in its media.
This is not only about domestic politics. The way America is portrayed in Japan can affect how ordinary Japanese people view the United States, and I believe that matters for the future of the Japan–U.S. relationship. 🇯🇵🤝🇺🇸
I truly hope this develops into a serious conversation.
