Hey everyone, Happy new year and I hope you all had an amazing break.
I know January can be tough for many people, (me included) money is tight, the weather sucks and trying to come to terms with a new year and what it holds, but here's a reminder that you are good enough, you are loved and needed, whatever you are working on or towards will be incredible and this year will bring you that success you chase, and if you need to take a mental health break do it, if you need to mute that super successful mutual that posts their wins constantly for your own sanity do it, I sometimes have to concentrate on me and I know how hard it can be seeing win after win when you are struggling.
I had a rough end to the year work wise, couldn't see any work coming in and the panic was real, thankful to say 2022 started off really well, spoke to a whole bunch of new film makers and booked a few gigs for this month and into Feb. I updated all my IMDB credits over the holidays and realised I am only 4 away from hitting Twitters minimum requirement for validation, I wasn't bothered but boy, now I really want that blue tick, I can't wait to tell everyone about politics and my opinions on things when I get one (That's how it works right?).
I booked a table at London's spring Film and comic con, I was supposed to just book a cheap table in artist alley but my ability to not read instructions lead me to buy a full £350 booth so now I have to figure out how to make that not a financial disaster.. sheesh.
Well I guess it'll either work or I'll now know what not to do so it will be what it will be. Thank god for business expenses.
