About NeuroTectura
Creating spaces that reduce stress and support wellbeing.
Neurotectura explores how architecture shapes the way we think, feel, and experience the world.
Founded by Patricia Fierro-Newton, Neurotectura sits at the intersection of architecture, neuroscience, and human experience.
Through research-based writing, the project translates complex scientific ideas into accessible insights — helping architects, designers, and curious readers understand how space influences cognition, emotion, and wellbeing.
From the way light regulates our biological rhythms to how spatial layout affects orientation, stress, or attention, Neurotectura approaches architecture not just as form or function but as a living interface between the environment and the brain.
At its core, the project is driven by a simple premise:
👉 The built environment is never neutral. It shapes how we feel, think, and behave.
With a growing focus on neurodiversity and inclusive design, Neurotectura aims to contribute to a more human-centred approach to architecture — one that recognises the diversity of sensory and cognitive experiences.
This is an ongoing, independent exploration — built through writing, research, and a deep commitment to understanding how spaces can better support the people who inhabit them.
