I had the opportunity to test the ArcBlue C42 for the last few months and they have finally launched on Kickstarter. For more info, please follow this link: https://shorturl.at/gb5US
You'll notice in the video that I mention it's $3499 instead of the $3799 price. The Original price was for early adopters who paid a $100 deposit, unfortunately that has ended.
I had lots of plans for this setup but due to clouds, bugs, and a lot of time troubleshooting, the angle I went with in this video is how it does as a travel setup. In my opinion, it does very well as a travel rig.
I tested this at Death Valley Observatories with my Canon 50mm (nifty fifty) and Samyang 14mm widefield lens. The C42 allowed me to easily polar align and it properly guided with both cameras! Not that you need to guide with the giant FOV the 14mm gives you.
At home, I tested this extensively with my 135mm Samyang lens at f/2. I had plans to test this with a bigger rig (CEM40 + EAF) but clouds had other plans for me. I'm hoping to do a follow up video where I test the camera's INDIGO integration with other components. I'd love to connect this to a big frac and see what I can get.
I had an absolute blast creating videos from Death Valley Observatories. I ended up re-recording everything from scratch just to get the background there (away from my boring basement).
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask. Clear skies!
