My power is back on. The light is sort of blinking and I know it's only for a few hours. But I charged my phone, I have some warm water, my freezer is you know... freezing, and my heating is back on.
I know it's only for a few hours, I know. But I am so happy that I get to go to bed now, feeling "normal", watching silly youtube videos before I fall asleep because there is still wifi. And I don't have to plan my whole day tomorrow around looking for a socket to stick my charger into. I don't know if it's sad or humbling how I adapted even to this. I remember this time last year I was so sulky because the heating in my apartment was still making me chilly. Now I wear two sweaters to bed with no heating at all and I feel absolutely OK about it.
