Stray

She comes to me

Bounding her paws

Coming to see

My latest trawls

Gleeful sounds, meows

Here at last to feed

On scrumptious mounds

Fulfill her endless need

Her tail shakes

Quick and sound

Hunger to unmake

Her stomach, now round

Another life saved.
