Building SpatiumDDI — an open-source DDI control plane (DNS, DHCP, and IP address management behind one source of truth). Apache 2.0. No SaaS, no enterprise tier, no roadmap that ends in a paywall.
I'm a network engineer building this on my own time because there's a real gap in the open-source world for what universities, hospitals, school districts, community colleges, and smaller organizations need to run their networks. The commercial alternatives (Infoblox, BlueCat, EfficientIP) are excellent, but increasingly priced out of reach for the institutions that need them most. SpatiumDDI is the open-source answer to that gap.
Anything contributed here goes toward project costs — hosting, future contributor work, the occasional conference or expense to keep the project moving. Nothing makes the project less open or less free. Every line stays public, every release stays Apache 2.0.
If SpatiumDDI ever saves you or your organization from a five-figure renewal, or just makes your network-engineering life a little less spreadsheet-driven, a coffee is appreciated. No expectation either way — the project doesn't need it to keep going, and nothing in it is locked behind it.
