Jupiter tore his hamstring some months ago and his physical is just coming up. It was a grade 2 tear on his back right leg. It's been 2-3 months and he's still healing and limps on and off instead of constantly. The vet cost quite a bit during that time between X-rays and the visits and pain medicines. It set us back quite a bit. We did home PT, red light therapy, massage, stretching, CBD etc. if you know us we would do anything for this boy.
That being said, we're coming up on his yearly physical. We put it off twice and they won't renew his prescription food or pills if we continue as is. Due to financial constraints we had to choose between his medications and his allergy shot. We chose his meds as that involves a prescription food.
He's definitely suffering. I'm sure so many of us are during this allergy season and will in the spring again. He's to the point where he's choking on a lot of snot daily, his current medications don't really address the scope of the issue, his eyes are red and watery, he's clawing at his ears and licking his paws despite our overwhelming effort to keep him comfortable, calm, and itch-free. Unfortunately he does really need this shot it's called a cytopoint if you want to look it up. And he will need it every month for 4 months.
