The Super bowl is here and soon it will be over and then it will be all things Jets for the fan base. Do they draft a QB or go free agent. In my humble opinion I say free agent, Maroita would be a nice fit to hold the line. But with free agency the sky is the limit. I am a big fan of building the defense this year and the rest next year. But they may not have that luxury due to the bad season and the heavy criticism. If we draft a QB in the early rounds he will still have to sit for a year and that pick can be used for a very good defensive player. I feel this team needs about 6 quality starters on defense. Plus some rotational players there. But if they go into free agency and pick up some good LB's that would help short term.
In a few mock drafts I ended up with Baine, Styles, Delane, Saratt or Bernard as a Wr 2, and I also traded back a little and got a 3rd round pick. So it is back to the drawing- possible board. if they sign a free agent LB, that frees up a little wiggle room of other needs. So we shall see. This new year and team is going to be much different. Hang in there Jet fans, and hope they build a 3 and out shut down defense to give us hope in the football world.
