Museum as Muck was founded in 2018 in response to the lack of people from low socio-economic backgrounds in the cultural sector. We provide a community for those who work in museums, galleries and heritage to feel seen and feel less alone. We also use our lived experience and professional expertise to work with organisations to take action on class inequity

We’re a volunteer-run organisation covering all our own basic costs — from website hosting and Zoom subscriptions to running free events for our community.
