In December 2023 I graduated from the Baptist Theological College of Southern Africa with a Master of Theology (Cum Laude). The name of my thesis was “Towards Demonstrating the Unity of Scripture: Israel as a Biblical Theological Theme Using a Synchronic Approach to the Present Majority Canon.” Through a synthesis of theology of Israel throughout the canon of Scripture I concluded that Israel is a triune entity of Jesus as the perfect Israel, the church as Spiritual Israel and the nation as national Israel and that God will fulfil every promise to Israel as a nation, especially in the Millennium.
My PhD thesis will build on this by looking at the relationship between Israel and the Church in two new covenant texts in the Old Testament and use the debate between progressive covenantalism and progressive dispensationalism as the context to develop this model of a triune Israel even more.
