Ghostbusters (2016) was the first Ghostbusters I ever watched. Although it was still enjoyable, it didn't feel the same since they changed all the original actors.
I watched Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) without seeing the first and second Ghostbusters. After seeing both original movies, you can see there are a lot of easter eggs on Afterlife for nostalgia and die-hard fans. After seeing again Afterlife, I think it relied so much on that part but at the same time, it's still fun and moving forward with the story.
I heard this song for the first time at the end credit of Afterlife and I got hooked immediately by those catchy beat. 'Who you're gonna call? Ghostbuster!' there you go. For this video, I only compiled the scenes from Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife since only those threes have the story connection with each other.
I think nostalgia, reunion, and soft reboot are gonna still be a trend.
