In very exciting news, fellow Montessori practitioner Britt Hawthorne's book Raising Antiracist Children: A Practical Parenting Guide is available on pre-order, with the anticipated release date of June 7, 2022. As of today (Monday, January 17), the book is $16.54 on Bookshop... and did you know, if you purchase via tend's linked Bookshop shopfront, we receive 10% of what you spent ($1.80 of the $17.98 suggested retail price) to re-invest in high-quality children's literature for our playgroups? From where I sit, with sales tax ($1.32) and shipping ($3.75) factored in, the total cost is $21.61. You're not beholden to buying via the shop, however it's very appreciated when you do!

I'd love to host a community read-along once the book is released this summer 2022. This might be do-able in-person for Brookings local community members, or with a hybrid virtual option for those who live outside of the area.
