About Montecycles
Repair and restoration of classic British motorcycles
Motorcycles have been a part of my life since I was very young. It all began when my father taught me how to ride. From that moment on, I was hooked. The sense of freedom that riding a motorcycle gives is something I became addicted to, and my fascination with bikes grew, particularly with vintage motorcycles. I developed a deep interest in classic British brands like Triumph, Norton, BSA, Matchless, AJS, Vincent, Rudge, and New Imperial, and I was eager to learn more about them.
After living in the Netherlands for a year, I met Bob, who introduced me to his stunning Triumph “Triton,” the epitome of a cafe racer. From that point, I knew I had to have a Triumph of my own. However, my understanding of engine overhauling didn’t really take off until I met Erik, the previous owner of Bob’s Triumph.
I bought an engine from Erik, and together we began to overhaul it. Over time, we became good friends, and he became my mentor, teaching me everything about British motorcycles. We worked on several engines together before I started tackling projects on my own. That’s when Montecycles came to life.
