Over the past months, I’ve been creating a complete system to help organize filament inside the Bambu AMS. It started with a simple idea: clear, easy‑to‑read identification plates that you can slide into small holders front to each spool. Many of you have already downloaded them, tested them, and even asked for new filament types — and your feedback has helped shape the project into something much bigger.
The identification plates are fully modeled from scratch and optimized for clean text, reliable fit, and consistent print quality. Each filament type comes in four copies, and the profiles include fine‑tuned settings such as Arachne walls and Hilbert top‑layer patterns for crisp lettering. They’ve become a small but essential tool for keeping the AMS tidy and easy to navigate.
Recently, several users asked if I could design a dedicated storage solution for these plates. So I did — and it’s finally here. The new modular storage box is built around five trays: a base, a lid, a hinge axis, two TPU hinge caps, and an optional storage block that doubles the capacity from 28 to 56 plates. Everything fits together smoothly, prints without supports, and stays perfectly horizontal when opened thanks to four small feet included.
The box isn’t just storage; it becomes a practical workspace when opened. The lid and base align at the same height, letting you place tools, accessories, or the optional storage block inside. It’s a flexible system designed to grow with your needs.
This whole project — plates, supports, box, block — is an original creation made entirely in Fusion 360. I’m grateful for everyone who tested, commented, and encouraged me to expand it. Your support helps me continue designing useful, high‑quality tools for the 3D printing community.
If you enjoy this work and want to support future updates, improvements, or new designs, your contribution here means a lot. Thank you for being part of this journey.
