My friend had a crazy idea to do a coffee taste test with the new coffee drinks in DCA versus the Black Caf Cold Brew (my fav) from Docking Bay 7. So I said HECK YES let's go ๐
Braving the crazy caffeine high I was about to experience, we got all three coffees (the Taro Coffee from Lunar New Year Festival, the Egg Vietnamese Coffee from the Cappuccino Cart, and the Almond Coffee from Pym's) AND the black caf and grabbed a table at Smokejumpers to put them all to the test
I was super excited to try the Taro one because I love Taro, and it was good! Super sweet so if you ever try this one, know that it is pretty sugary, and I wish it had just a bit more taro flavor to it as all that flavor is completely in the cold foam.
I tried the Almond one next and...it was like drinking the Beverly at Epcot. EW. I think their machine must be burning the coffee or something because it was gross and nothing could save it. I didn't even like the cold foam. She looked pretty though ๐
And I was truly not expecting to like the last option: the egg Vietnamese coffee. This is the new seasonal one from the Cappuccino Cart and WOWZA. It was the perfect combination of lightly sweetened coffee, with this delicious light cold foam flavor on the top (which is, in fact, egg and condensed milk). I was FLOORED. And when compared to the Joffrey's cold brew in the black caf, it was just better! I had to rate it higher! I never thought I would see the day...but DCA managed to make a coffee that it BETTER than the former champion from Batuu.
SO if you're planning a DCA trip anytime soon, highly recommend making a trip to the Cappuccino Cart for this coffee! Don't let the egg freak you out...it's delicious ๐ฅฐ
