I define a submissive as a person who acts in a compliant or submissive role in life, especially in relationships. A submissive is primarily have a deep desire to serve and please another, while feeling loved and cared for.
As you refer to call yourself a sub you should know what kind of a sub you truly are. I often meet with people who think they are subs just because they watched bdsm adult videos. A true sub can not change his/her nature even if they refuse their desires. If you do not know whether you are a sub or not I put a few questions here. Take some time to think about them.
Do you find yourself instinctively sacrificing your own comfort, well-being, a material things for others?
Do you generally prefer to avoid confrontation at all costs?
Does the idea of having to make important decisions without assistance make you uncomfortable?
Does the idea of service to someone make you happy?
Do you seem inexplicably attracted to highly assertive, self-confident people?
Do you have a radar for spotting the alpha individual in the room?
Do you feel good about changing your appearance, behavior, or habits in order to please your partner?
Types of Submissives.
Brat
A person who is generally well-behaved, but time to time tests a dominant with misbehaviour, teasing and limited kind of defiance or disobedience. The question is how much disobedience or disrespect is there to be tolerated. Constant brat behaviour is draining out the Domme very fast. It can also change to Topping from the Bottom. Topping from the Bottom is a technique used by some subs to manipulate, control or influence a Domme s decision making. Any sub who does this with a routine should not be considered as a true sub. It does not mean he/she is not a good person, it just means they are not true subs.
Pig
A person who likes to be humiliated as a farm animal. Often real or imaginated unatractivnes. The Pig is also refered as a Pay Pig or live ATM.
Domestic
A person who is expected to perform domestic duties in the Domme s household, such as cooking, cleaning, chauffeuring or garden work. It can be also as a humilation role-play as a part of the dynamic.
Slave
A person who has no rights, no property in the relationship, they are expected to render absolute obedience. They wear often chains and collars.
Novice
Tipically a person who has very recently discovered and become very excited about bdsm lifestyle, and decided to have part of it in any costs. This condition is often expressed as sub-frenzy. It can turn out bad or good. Bad version is when a sub select an inexperienced Domme, used abused and dumped. The collar for him is just a prop. But even with a bad experiences he is jumping into another one. The bedrock and fundation of every D/s relationship is trust. If you don´t have it you can jump in and out as much as you like but you will never figure out how to build up a solid relationship.
The Mazo
A person who enjoys or is aroused by sensations of intense or extreme pain. A mazo can be in 2 categories. A, When his/hers primary interest is only pain fetish. B, When he/she is having pain and other good things as well in a relationship.
Pet
This is the one who enjoys the role of a cherished animal companion to his Domme, who typically role plays the part of an owner, trainer, breeder or rider. Often kittens, puppies, or ponies. Pony subs enjoys riding or show ponies. Puppy play is often about devotion and playfulness, collars and leashes.
Bottom
A person who likes to play a sub only in bed. He often has a script in his mind and has many fantasies about the scene. Wants to try everything if possible in 1 hour. He/she can be easily get into a Switch role.
Sissy
A person who likes to be dressed up as a maid or other female character. Often comes together with feminization, discovering the hidden female inside.
