🤍 We Were Never Meant to Mother Alone

May 17, 2025

Pregnancy and postpartum were once held in the arms of the village—by aunties, elders, sisters, neighbors.
Someone was always near to cook, rub warm oil on aching skin, listen to birth stories, and remind you: you are doing beautifully.

But today, many mothers walk this path in isolation.
Text threads replace touch. Google replaces grandmothers. And the deepest needs of new mothers—rest, reverence, nourishment, and being witnessed—often go unmet.

It doesn’t have to be this way.
We can return to each other.

When we support mothers, we support the whole world.
When we gather in circle, we remember we are not alone.
When we care for each other, we heal lineages.

🤱🏽 If you are pregnant, postpartum, or mothering in any season, you deserve to be held.
🌕 If you are a friend, a sister, a neighbor—you are part of someone’s village.

Let’s choose a culture of care over competition, softness over silence, and community over individualism.

It is time we remember:
The mother is the heart of the village—
and the village must protect the heart.
