This short piece isn’t just about me. Over the course of my life, I’ve met many women who were discarded in some way as young girls, just so others didn’t have to ask themselves the hard questions - make the hard decisions. Despite deep trauma, they have gone on to make a life not just for themselves but for their children. They remind me of the wolves of Yellowstone Park, who thrive in the harshness of winter.
