Frankie Sutton Author Interview

Frankie Sutton Author Interview

Nov 15, 2024

1. Introduce yourself; who are you and what types of books do you write?

Howdy, I’m Frankie, I’m an autistic multi-genre author. I don’t just write books, I’ve done fan-fiction, songs and song parodies, and scripts.

2. What are your books about?

Vampiric Crush is about a young woman dealing with a vampire king's obsession while trying to solve a prophecy that may save her from him. Trembles of the Heart is about a young woman hiding 3 major secrets from her best friend/crush.

3. What was the inspiration behind writing your first book?

Vampiric Crush is inspired by vampires, Japanese architecture, swords, and twisting the chosen one/prophecy tropes.

4. What did you learn while writing your second book?

I learned to pay more attention to POV/head hopping and having a solid flowing story structure. I was a pantser until someone introduced me to Save The Cat.

5. What is the most rewarding part of being an author?

Sharing my wild and creative imagination with others.

6. What elements do you think make for a good story?

Stirring a reader’s emotions. And a story that would translate well to other media—like a movie or TV show.

7. What is the hardest part of being an author for you?

Typing out the words onto the page. If only we had the tech to telepathically transfer our thoughts onto the word document. Or at least make the text-to-speech programs BETTER. I used one in the past and it became annoying that you also have to dictate punctuation and not just the words in the sentence.

8. What is your current writing project?

Women’s Fic/Romance subplot. A story inspired by my love of techno music and Celine Dion.

9. What is the best writing advice you’ve ever received?

Save the Cat.

10. Where can readers discover more about you and your books?

My books can be found mainly on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
