Woah, it's already June; we're in the middle of 2024 and I have some coding projects I need to finish. Will I be able to finish them before the end of 2024? I hope so...
TSpE: Terminal Supaplex Editor
If anyone asks me for my favorite videogames, the answer is simple:
Doom (the whole series)
Supaplex
Undertale
Supaplex is a puzzle game based on Boulderdash. One of its best aspects is that anyone can make a level or levelset and play it with Supaplex.
There are plenty of Supaplex level editors, one of them being sple.me made by Vovan-VE.
I knew I wanted to make a Supaplex Editor but I wanted to make it different from the others. I wanted to make it original.
I ended up deciding I wasn't gonna make a GUI. The app would be terminal based. It would use commands and have 3 states: Home Screen, Level Editor (in here, the user can edit SP files or levels inside DAT files), Levelset Editor (in here, the user can edit levelset specific aspects).
I had some help from the creator of Supaplex Online, a recreation of Supaplex, fully Online, Greg, because of some obscure aspects of how Supaplex works.
While still in development, TSpE shall offer an experience in the terminal that is able to use Megaplex (another recreation of Supaplex) and Supaplex Online to test levels.
DOOM Map Guesser
As mentioned before, my favorite game series is Doom. You're probably familiar with the game GeoGuesser. The goal is simple: you're given a photo from somewhere in the World and you have to guess where that photo was taken.
With this in mind, I decided to make the GeoGuesser... of Doom.
The player is given a screenshot of a Doom Map. The player then has to guess some aspects of that map:
Game/WAD (currently available: The Ultimate Doom, Doom II, Doom II: The Master Levels, Final Doom: TNT Evilution, Final Doom: The Plutonia Experiment, Doom 64, No Rest for the Living)
Episode
Map (201 maps currently available!!)
Number of Secrets (number of sectors with Effect 9, whether acessible or not)
More than 300 screenshots will be available, but right now, we (me and the contributors on GitHub) are no where near. Therefore, your contributions would be appreciated.
Some screenshots as an example:

I hope you liked my projects and if you would like to contribute to one of them, I would really appreciate your help.

What's next?
I will keep working on these projects and do my best to release them until the end of the year, although I think it is extremely doable.
