Not only did I do math, I did it before my first cup of coffee.
I bought some new, slightly larger bottles from Eden Botanicals with my most recent purchase of ingredients. So far I’ve been using raw ingredients and diluting them to 10%, but that leaves additional material at the bottom of the tiny 1 ml sample size I buy of each ingredient (they’re around $2-$5 each, so when you “buy ingredients” you literally are!)
I wanted to know how much and at what dilution these larger bottles would hold, so I had to do two kinds of math - figuring out the weight of my materials (approximately .9 grams), how much total the 1/4oz bottle would hold (6g), and what the dilution would be for that amount (15%).
As someone who always felt like I was bad at numbers, this little bit of math in service of something I care about and am interested in really makes me feel good and smart.
