I’ve had more perfume stuff to write about, but I wanted to share some dance news! I have a new commission scheduled for May with the same group I worked with last year.
This piece is again a single night performance by a dancer at an art opening, in support of arts and mental health.
Last year I was blessed to work with Christina Bargelt, a classically trained ballerina, and the piece reflected more of her movement style, with long extensions and expressive breaks in the movement. This year I will be working with Katie Jenkins, a former dancer with Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Theater, and we are tapping into her modern dance experience. (She also currently dances with Davis Dance Company, and teaches around the Denver area.)
I’m so excited for this new opportunity. Katie is an amazing dancer and friend, and I am itching to get my movement ideas into her capable feet!!!
