2 Months in Asturias, Spain

Feb 27, 2024

Wow, what a beautiful place Asturias, Spain is.

Snow-capped mountains, green pastures, rolling hills and did I mention the amazing food?

It's away from the hustle and bustle of city life and is infused with the proud culture of Spain. Northern Spain is known for it's culinary expertise proudly showing off their tapas in each bar or restaurant you go to. Also widely known for their bean stew aka fabala, wild boar stew and tortilla de patatas. The Asturias cuisine is chalked full of chorizo, spices and olive oil which is a staple to Spanish people. Let's just say they are heavy handed on the fat content of their food making it even more delicious.

The home of the Camino del Santiago is stationed here in the heart of Oviedo, Spain (ABOVE). This posh city is nestled one hour south of the northern boarder of Spain. Wear your nicest outfits ladies because the locals dress up just for their morning cafe.

Let's not forget Gijon, Spain (ABOVE) with it's monuments, beaches, night life and seafood restaurants. Gijon is equipped with two beaches, a lookout point for sunrise and sunset and many clubs to visit after hours.

That's it for now, off to France in just a few days where I'll be exploring Nice, Grasse and Monaco.

Can't wait!!!
