I'm Matthew Thomas Gillespie, the one-person studio behind Wildlife Crew Productions — Canadian political satire music videos with a recurring cast of original claymation-style wildlife characters reacting to world events from a distinctly Canadian perspective.

Every video starts with original lyrics I write myself, original character designs from my own sketches, and a shot-by-shot script I direct personally. Each one takes weeks of work — hundreds of individually directed animation iterations, all assembled by hand in Adobe Premiere Pro.

I do this from Toronto, working through a spinal injury that makes traditional production difficult. AI tools let me animate at a scale I couldn't manage otherwise — but every creative choice, every joke, every frame is mine.
