Merry Christmas everyone! I've been working as hard as I have ever worked in the past few months to present to you my newest projects!
Some of these messages you're about to see below are mostly relevant for modders, but not explicitly. The second-to-final message at the bottom is likely going to be the most relevant, no matter if you're a modder or not.
First, let's start with the general news. Below are new updates I've now released for 3 projects!
MPak has received a new update that you can check out here: https://master-64.itch.io/shrek-2-pc-mpak/devlog/655942/mpak-v71-release
Cross-compatibility (check if your project using MPak is using an older version of MPak and consider updating if so): https://sites.google.com/view/shrek-2-pc-wiki/mpak-wiki?authuser=0#h.upz49ueoi1s1
The Shrek 2 Wiki has received a general update: https://sites.google.com/view/shrek-2-pc-wiki
The level editor has received a major update that dramatically aids with programmers (programmers can now make GUIs!), and also fixes a bunch of weird errors with the editor! Check it out here: https://master-64.itch.io/shrek-2-pc-level-editor/devlog/655945/level-editor-v70-release
Alright, now let's get into the nitty-gritty! I've now released 2 projects that were temporarily lost to time, but are now officially back as their own project!
The DevKit project originally had a project inside of it named CBBP. This has now been officially released, so that you can finally use the useful brush builders I personally use: https://master-64.itch.io/cbbp
The FPS Patch is now its own project so that it can't be lost to speedrun.com taking it down at random. Now that it is its own project, I've added more versions of the patch to it, including the 120 FPS patch. You can find that here: https://master-64.itch.io/fps-patch
Okay, now it's time for the serious project releases. I have TWO MAJOR RELEASES! I know... pretty insane coming from me. Here goes...
First off, I'm releasing Project: SMR! Project: SMR is a project that aims to provide a seamless experience for mappers wanting to modify the original stock maps in Shrek 2 with no issues. I understand that the DevKit project said it allowed for this, and while that's mostly true, this version of the stock map recompilations are way more accurate, and also fix many more bugs that the DevKit project failed to fix. So in short, Project: SMR allows anyone to easily modify the original maps. You can read more about it here: https://master-64.itch.io/project-smr
And now... for the big reveal.
It's been in the works for nearly 4 years, and it has FINALLY been finished. I present to you: Chaos 2. Chaos 2 was an idea conceived all the way back in early 2020, and is now going to be brought to life after nearly 4 years! The main idea of this mod is that the game is constantly throwing random events at you, and you have to try to complete the game while this is happening. If you remember back in late 2019, the Chaos mod was created by HuniePop, and this is a massive expansion to that entire concept. This mod works for any custom map, and has a lot of unique mechanics in it that keep it fresh and exciting, even if you've already beaten it once. It comes with 10 different modes and over 150 unique modifiers, so you're sure to have a chaotic time in Chaos 2! https://master-64.itch.io/chaos-2
Alright, well now that I finally did all of this, I'm going to take a break for now. If you find any issues with any of the projects, do let me know and I'll see what I can do to amend the issue. Thank you all for being so patient with me, and let's hope for a bright future!
