Day 19 - Technical Notes: page count 94. I know what's left to figure out and give a resolution to so I had to throw that page count goal I had at the start of this out. I'd rather have more to work with off rip than be trying to pull things out of nowhere in the edit of this draft. There's not too much left to craft to have a complete third act but there's enough unknown left that I already know I'm going to be passed 110 at the end of the month. Molding the story around the characters as the story goes on opens the door for twists I never would have seen. Character building, world building, is probably the closest connection you have as a writer with your inner child. Imagination in a box. The trick to ending this right is throttling the pace in a way that makes sense for the story.
Authentic. Story first, forever pushing the story forward. Subtext that shows who the characters are. It's got to stick with you. These are some of the things in the back of my mind when it comes to giving these characters their voices. Good dialogue that can give a visual to the depths of the characters is probably my favorite part of a screenplay. Some of the movies that I love are 100% dialogue-driven, and that's exactly what you're getting with this one.
Day 20 tomorrow - until then, I’ll catch you at the movies ✌🏾
