My wife Evelyn had a dream of turning a little bird character named Finchy, who's into the odd holidays that happen each month, into a storybook for children. Initially, I was happy to encourage her from a distance, but we quickly realized that hand-painting every illustration and writing the story was a massive challenge for one person.
So, because I am altruistic like that, I stepped in to handle the writing so she could focus exclusively on the beautiful digital illustrations.
After months of rhymes, painting, and tweaking, we have officially launched our children's book, Finchy's Year Out!
For just $3, you can download the full digital storybook right now.
Why should you download it? Aside from supporting a family project, it’s a genuinely fun story! You’ll follow Finchy as he finds a reason to celebrate every month of the year. You’ll meet his friends, his pet plant named Chris , and discover why February 3rd is the best day ever.
Where does the money go? Every single coffee and book purchase goes directly into our Print Fund. We are saving up to print high-quality hardcovers of this book. By grabbing a digital copy today, you aren't just getting a file—you are helping us make that dream a reality.
It would mean so much if you checked it out in the shop. Thank you for your support and Happy New Year!
