Roundabout, circles or Rotunda is intimidating to some cyclists. It's even more intimidating when not all road users don't properly use rotundas - even using turn signals. By design, if we take the outermost lane, the cyclist is not easily seen by road user as incoming traffic look at the center lane instead of the outside and will enter the rotunda without thoroughly checking for the outside lane - same as true for exiting cars who will exit and will have the tendency to side sweep cyclist on the outer lane.
Baguio City has a few of these rotundas and not all are truly safe for cyclists... it's up to the cyclist to adjust. In this video, I presented this rotunda and the problems faced by Baguio Cyclist.
