A nostalgia project: a 2D incompressible Navier–Stokes solver, written entirely in classic VB. Semi-Lagrangian advection, pressure projection, vorticity confinement to fight numerical diffusion - and rendering through raw GDI calls into a PictureBox, just like we did back then. And it works: leading-edge separation, shear layer rolling up, a vortex street shedding behind the airfoil. On a grid that would have made my 1998 PC weep.
