I am an academic and political activist, proudly from the east side of Guadalajara (Mexico), committed to fighting inequality and the myth of meritocracy.

Founder of Gatitos Contra la Desigualdad (Kitties Against Inequality) in 2018.

Winner of the National Journalism Award in 2022 and the National Public Policy Award in 2024.

I teach and conduct research at the University of Guadalajara (UdeG), and I am a Senior Atlantic Fellow with AFSEE at the London School of Economics (LSE).

I engage in activism through the Institute for the Study of Inequality (INDESIG) and other fronts.
