Referencing the historical tension between subject and spectator, Olympia challenges the tradition of the reclining nude as an object of consumption.
The figure sits within the Müüska framework — a restored armchair as stage and witness. The body is no longer silent. It is overwritten, labeled, altered.
The horned head introduces ambiguity: Is it protection? Is it defiance? Is it transformation?
The work dismantles the hierarchy between viewer and subject.
Olympia does not wait to be seen.
