Maddie continues to show improvement! He’s alert, in good spirits, eating and drinking well, and even walking around obstacles — which tells us his vision, while still affected, may be slowly returning. He did have a little diarrhea, but no vomiting, and he’s urinating normally.
The doctors found inflammation and swelling inside his eyes, likely from the seizures or a possible stroke-like event, so they’ve started him on new medications to help with healing. While his case is complicated, the fact that he’s more responsive each day gives us hope.
We are so grateful for everyone who has donated, shared, and prayed for our boy. The hospital bills are overwhelming, but Maddie’s health means everything, and your support is what allows him to keep fighting. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 💜
