Dear friends, comrades and fellow Ukraine supporters!
I'm very aware that I often struggle to send my thanks and appreciation for all the support people give me! I intend to at least partly correct this now!
These last 6 months have been wild. The last time I did an update, I was informing people that I was back on the frontline and joining the summer offensive. A lot has happened since...
So just to give a little more detail, I'm a British Volunteer in the Special Reconnaissance Company of the 131st Separate Reconnaissance Battalion. Much of my work prior to deploying to the East was spent in the far south - around Kherson.
I've had the honour to fight and serve alongside some truly exceptional people. We've given our sweat, blood and tears these last few months. Some wonderful friends have died in the service of Ukraine. I'll be thinking of their families this Christmas and hoping they take some comfort in knowing their son, brother or father lived and died a hero.
I respond to grief, stress and exhaustion by doubling down and working that little bit harder. I become a bit of an isolationist, I withdraw into myself. I do try and update my twitter once a day, or at least every few days but I'm terrible at getting back to people.
As we approach Christmas, i thought I'd boot myself up the butt and send a mass message out to you all! The support and love you guys have shared with me is unbelievable, I honestly couldn't thank you enough.
I have been to hell and back, but I can honestly say the goodwill and passion for Ukraine out there is heartwarming. It reminds me, and hopefully all of us, what we're fighting for...

We live in a polarised world. Theres so much disinformation out there and it sometimes seems like the trolls have taken over social media. Recent years have shown me there's a resistance movement to such nonsense. We can come together from all over the world with all kinds political and cultural views and still stand together in pursuit of justice.
We're doing it right now for Ukraine!
Anyway, thank you for the support and the faith you put in me. I hope one day to see you all in Ukraine! ✌️🇺🇦
