I’ve got 99 problems but the beach ain’t one…

imageThe energy of a partial solar eclipse was hanging heavy in the air. An energy fraught with virtual mind doom scrolling, throwing up long pushed right to the back of the mind memories, forcing them painfully to the surface where they had to be felt faced and released once and for all. Her spirit guide ringing in her right ear a high pitched diatribe of “well didn’t I tell you so? Avoidance is always futile!” She knew she had to face her nemesis memories, the time was now of never. The partial eclipse was creating a time shift portal and one thing she was certain of was that she was not going to lose her opportunity to elevate and move beyond the suffocating earthly parameters that had kept her stuck on a never ending wheel of doom fate for these past few decades. Enough was enough. “That’s the spirit!” her spirit guide whispered, the irony not lost and a gentle air of humour and hope began to lift the energy. She was exhausted, physically, emotionally and spiritually “I’ve been through too much” she said out to the ether “we know, we have seen, we have been with you this entire time” her spirit guide replied. “Walk with us”

She forced herself reluctantly out of the chair she was sitting comfortably in with her dog, not just a dog, but a soul mate, a companion, a guide with paws who had arrived in the darkest of moments as an orange beacon of hope. A dog who had been sent to be her shadow. A dog so like herself it was uncanny. A canine firecracker with a spirit of wilfulness, together, they made a true force to be reckoned with, their loyalty and bond to each other unbreakable. “Beach…?” she asked her dog who replied “oh hell yes!!” with her eager eyes and wiggy butt.

She grabbed the dog’s lead, pulled on her trainers and opened the door of the caravan they were staying in. It was eerily quiet, a little too still, but the sun shone down and a gentle sea breeze was blowing so onwards the went towards the beach. As they reached the steps down she requested her dog to sit so she could remove her lead, as she did so she said “away” and the dog gleefully bounded down the steps reaching the sand and spinning zoomies of delight. She then rushed off to seek out the biggest and most impossible stick to carry there and back again because this dog, just like her designated owner liked to challenge herself and push beyond her limits. A tenacious little orange beast, like mother like daughter.

She followed along behind her loyal canine companion, picking up the dropped stick (more of a tree trunk) and throwing it alternately between the sand dunes and sea to give her dog all of the beach time enrichment. It was on about the ninth pick up that she finally took a moment to take in her surroundings and the realisation that they were the only people there struck her like a ball to the chest. She stood up straight, took in a large breath and turned a full 360. No one, literally no one was on the beach in spite of it being a Sunday afternoon and prime beach walking time and weather. “Weird” she thought “throw my stick” her dog said.

They walked on and on and time seemed endless, the beach too seemed to stretch further than it ever had, she had walked this beach many times previously and yet, something felt unusual about this particular walk. Time she felt, was standing still. As she walked she was aware of tears falling from her eyes “what the fuck” She stood for a moment and felt the tears, not physically but on an energetic level. As another formed in the corner of her eye she saw the name, the face and the karmic wound created by that person, then the tear fell, to be replaced by another, this one nameless, faceless but the wound one of the most painful she had ever experienced. The tears, the wounds they became like a cine camera playback, she could even hear the whirring of the playback wheel, her chakras vibrating as the playback time increased, as it reached its peak the film shot out off the end of the reel and she caught a sound leaving her body, a guttural scream on anguish, it was coming from the very depths of her soul, it was squeezing the breath right out of her. She fell onto the sand, face first, no time to put her pants out to protect herself, just a full on, ungainly face plant. Her dog ran over all wiggy butting and “you ok hun?” She climbed all over her, licking her face and urging her to get back up. But she lay there a short while longer, gritty sand between her teeth, feeling the strange damp comforting embrace of the earth. She could hear the waves gently rolling in, a gentle whoosh sound as each one broke, she became aware that the waves were moving in time with her heartbeat. Then, out of nowhere she felt a pulling on her back. She was being lifted, forced to a standing position by an unseen force. She looked around her and the beach was still completely deserted so who had helped her back up? “You did” she caught her voice saying out loud “you picked yourself up every single time and you resolved to carry on, to never give up even when life tried to keep you down”

Her dog was back at her feet with an even bigger stick “heaven knows where she finds these” she thought and a voice said “indeed we do” but the voice wasn’t a ringing in her ear, it was a physical voice, being spoken to her. She looked around her bewildered and there, right next to her as though it had fallen out of the sky was an ice cream van. “What the fuck?!” She thought “I know right?!!” The voice said again she knew she should be wierded out and running for her life at this point, but one she can’t run without pissing herself as birthing two rather large babies in her lifetime saw to that, but two, she was suddenly craving the sweetness of ice cream and she was magically, energetically gliding towards the ice cream van.

“Well, you cried quite the ocean” the ice cream man said “you created waves all of your own” She looked at the man, he was familiar and yet not known to her at all. His energy suggested she knew him but his face confirmed otherwise. “You’ve been creating waves you whole life” he said. It would appear she had suddenly become mute and had lost the ability to speak, this beach walk was become more surreal by the second. “There are some waves that became tsunamis, they caused unseen karmic chaos and destruction in the lives of all those who fell as tears, you’re not meant to know that, but I know that you need to know what you’re not meant to know and that’s why I showed you. I’m sorry that it became energetically overwhelming, I’m sorry you fell” Still nothing, no words left her mouth “you can’t speak in my presence” the ice cream man said “you’re meant to be in awe of me and in truth, most bow down in my presence, you’re one of my enigmatic creations, an unknown, a bit of a wildcard. I enjoyed making you. You’re one of my favourite kind I only made two of you. A weaponised light force with an inbuilt survival mode, a def con one soul grenade with the pin removed ready to go off at will and blow to shit all and anything that doesn’t align with your soul’s light and truth. It’s been a tough ride eh?” Again, I just looked at him like “…” “You’ve exceeded all expectations my chosen one, we even took bets on you even though gambling is a sin, I make the rules and rules are there to be broken. Archangel Micheal won, of course as he is was and still is your assigned guide. Together you form quite the karmic justice team” “My time is short now, the portal is closing I’m here to bring you a message of hope. There is another just like you, made in your exact soulful image, separated at incarnation but destined for reunion and that time is now. You have wiped the karmic slate clean, as have they, you have both but yourselves through hellfire to reach this point. All of your wounds are healed, lifted from you and you are free. I am proud of you my child, so proud”

She was stood in the middle of a deserted beach, a 99 flake in her hand, no ice cream van in sight and her loyal canine companion at her feet with yet another, even bigger stick. She heard laughter and a voice saying “heaven knows where that came from” She found herself laughing, truly laughing in a way she hadn’t laughed in so long. The joy had been sapped out of her life long ago by responsibility, burdens and trauma but hearing her own laughter she noted, sounded like hope. The beach walk resumed, the stick throwing and chasing continued and time felt normal, it wasn’t standing still, it was moving exactly as it should. In the distance a black Labrador was hooing it way towards them, its owner in quick pursuit. As he drew closer she noticed he too had a 99 flake in his hand, as they reached one another, their dogs greeting each other like long lost souls his first words spoken to her were “this is going to make me sound mad but I have an ice cream in my hand and absolutely no memory of where and how I came about it” “Ditto” she replied and they “cheers” their ice creams together just like the couple in the two of cups tarot card image and their joy filled the beach…
