It has been 86 days since Trooper Enrique Delgado-Garcia was taken from his family and friends while training at the Massachusetts State Police Academy in New Braintree. Initial reports indicated that he suffered a "medical crisis" during a boxing training exercise. However, based on the injuries described by his family broken neck, teeth, nose, and ankle it's clear this was not an accident or a "medical crisis", but rather the result of a violent beating. This case has been silenced across Massachusetts since the initial reports, leaving his friends and family with no answers. They have been told not to speak about it. Nearly 90 days have passed with no updates from Governor Maura Healey, Attorney General Andrea Campbell, Special Investigator David Meier, or the Massachusetts State Police. Why is this? Today, with my announcement at 1 PM EST, I hope to bring attention to this issue and continue pushing for answers. It is time for the truth to come to light, and for us, the people, to demand justice for Trooper Delgado-Garcia.
