WWE Raw (1.20.20) Main Event Thoughts

Lashley & Lana defeated Rusev & Liv Morgan @ 3:30 via pin: For the life of me, I cannot get into this angle at all. Part of it is that these over the top, poorly constructed soap opera angles with the acting skills of a middle school Thanksgiving pageant just don’t land for me. Lana feels so forced, with cliché heel work, bad acting, lots of effort but nothing that actually makes me care or want to watch this feud. Lashley looks amazing for his age, but as an in-ring performer feels like a shell of his former self; but he got paid so more power to him, I miss the TNA/Impact Lashley that at one point could have been heated up to feud with Brock. Rusev performs like a broken man with no fire to his performances, collecting a check and being talked into thinking that this angle is tremendous TV. Liv Morgan is working hard and really trying, looking to make the most of an angle that finally affords her TV time. I w9sh her luck. I know some love this and that’s great if you do, but I’ve had my fill already.
