The Very Dead of Winter by Miller Watson

After being surrounded by military policemen on every side, Halleck decides to step inside the divisional command post, his eyes nearly blind. A general was standing before him when, suddenly, the general started to interrogate him. Dazzled by the experience, he remains curious in his response. Will the truth expose itself as it should, or are all facts just fabricated lies? Only one way to find out! Follow along with this exciting story and learn all about military affairs, veterans, and how armies establish themselves. While wartime stories might succumb to many, I feel like the storytelling here puts matters into perspective. There's a lot of significance and resemblance as far as everything goes. Miller Watson's style of writing is unique and engaging. Like most wartime novels, readers may relate to the concept well enough. The author also shares some inspiring quotes that I find intriguing throughout this book. One particular example is "Do what you can with what you have," as said by the general. Above all, it's exceptional that I got to understand each character's role. The Very Dead of Winter is a book worth reading. Miller Watson shares bits of psychological terminologies to discuss a variety of complex issues. To me, this was a way to exemplify language use in this book.
