My name is Sundus Al-Sharafi, and I live in Gaza, Palestine. I write this message to you with a heavy heart, seeking compassionate support to help my family and me survive these devastating circumstances.
Before the war, I worked in digital marketing and website development, and I had built a career I was proud of.
But this war took everything away from me. I lost my father in a direct airstrike, and since that day, my life has turned to ashes.
My mother suffers from chronic illnesses — diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease — and her condition has worsened significantly after my father’s death, especially after her heart procedure was postponed on October 7, the very day the war broke out.
Today, we live with no electricity, no clean water, and barely enough food to survive.
Our home was completely destroyed, and my workplace no longer exists. We have been displaced multiple times, and each time we were forced to flee under the threat of direct bombing.
I no longer even have the laptop I used for freelance work, which was the only source of income for my family.
My siblings are still young, my mother is ill, and I am doing everything I can to provide for them — just to survive one more day.
That’s why I am reaching out today with an urgent call for humanitarian support, to help us with the following needs:
Securing essential medication and treatment for my mother, including the cost of her delayed heart procedure (estimated at $400 per week for medical supplies)
Finding or restoring a safe place to live after the destruction of our home (with basic daily survival needs estimated at $300–$350 per day)
Purchasing a new work laptop, so I can return to freelancing and rebuild a stable source of income for my family
Covering future evacuation costs, if the borders open (up to $6,000 for safe relocation)
We have lost everything — but we haven’t lost hope.
