Ann Loraine Marshall, publishing under the pen name Loren Keeling, is a survivor, investigative author, and dedicated advocate for the rights of cohabiting women. A former successful property business owner in the UK, Loraine’s life was upended after an eleven-year relationship ended in an abrupt “four-sentence discard speech,” leaving her financially precarious and facing “precarious eviction” in Spain.
Her transition from victim to investigative author was forged through a five-year legal battle. Facing seven criminal allegations and profound institutional betrayal, Loraine meticulously documented the patterns of post-separation litigation abuse and the “legal ravines” that leave non-married partners unprotected. This lived experience serves as the foundation for her books, including Post-Separation Abuse: Betrayal & Abandonment, What Type Of Man? and its sequel, Deceptions and Illusions. As the host of the Mindset, Money, Success podcast, Loraine leverages her status as an “Expert by Experience” to expose hidden forms of emotional, psychological, and economic abuse. She is the founder of the Life Change Plans blog and the "Truth After Abuse - Trauma to Transformation” movement, which provides survivors with a support hub for reclaiming their identity and independence.
Driven by a worldwide social mission, Loraine is currently working to establish a non-profit organisation and a Mindfulness Retreat. Her work is a visceral call for legislative reform, ensuring that no other woman is left silenced or stranded by a system not fit for purpose.
