Nikki St. Crowe brought her A game with this one! This is the second book in the Vicious Lost Boys series and it ends on yet ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ณ cliffhanger! ๐
The Dark One picks up right where we left off in The Never King. Pan has found his shadow and prepares to claim it again. Winnie has found her true home in Neverland, and The Lost Boys have claimed her as their own.
But Panโs claiming of his shadow doesnโt go as planned and now The Lost Boys must face their old enemies yet again in order to restore Peter Pan to his rightful place as Never King and to save Neverland.
I absolutely LOVE that we got to know Vane better in this book. He was such a dark mystery before, so it was so great to learn more about his story and also see a vulnerable side of him.
And if you thought The Never King was darkโjust wait. The spice in this one is ohhhh soooo nice, perfectly dark and delicious. Nikki definitely kicked it up a notch in that department! Ummmโฆ The Never Tree scene!!?? ๐ฅต
I did predict the ending around half way through BUT it absolutely did not take anything away from enjoying the story. In fact, I think I actually got more excited!
