In 2012, I played Charlie in Ernest Thompson's play, On Golden Pond. In the play, Ethel offers him biscuits each time he visits. The director allowed the biscuits to be substituted by cookies and coconut macaroons were my preferred choice of substitute. So, every night, I had a plate full of coconut macaroon cookies to slaughter. And that I did. Too many. And sometimes the crew would send on half eaten cookies just to watch my reaction from the wings.
I still like a good coconut macaroon. But in moderation.
