UPDATE: I'm trying something new and I have now added some annotations and analysis to my transcription for Procession. It was good fun, and I may continue to update it and do it with other pieces.
Here's my full score transcription of Procession by Queen, from the 1974 album Queen II. Transcribed by ear from the original song. I've tried to present it in a clear way that is easy to read. Suggestions for improvements welcome.
I've transcribed it for seven guitars, which is what I hear on the song - although it's likely that there are overdubs and other tricks using more guitars. Guitars 1-3 are the first choir and are panned left. Guitars 4-6 are the second choir and are panned right.
Guitar 7 is in drop-D tuning and plays the bass notes. It moves around the stereo space, panned right for the first part of the song and panned left for the second part.
