24 February 2022 (his wedding anniversary) found David in Kyiv waking up to the sounds of Russian rockets hitting a strategic airfield - the war on Ukraine had started.
David and his team where in Ukraine to evacuate Ukraine families of colleagues.
That day lead to an intense 40-hour escape from Kyiv to Bucharest (the last 10 miles to the border on foot). Having found safety, through David’s military background he his team re established their ongoing mission to continue the evacuation of people from Ukraine as well as supporting those who are unable or unwilling to leave. So why should you pay attention to this?
We all have times where we must face making tough and hard decisions. We all have to deal with messy emergencies and curve ball crises as they suddenly appear from left field. Often such conundrums crash into our lives as unwanted intruders.
However, in war the stakes and consequences of decisions, can mean literally life or death. And such situations focus the human mind.
