Today, I want to share a deeply personal story that has forever changed my life and the lives of those who loved my best friend, Jade C. Blackmer. Jade was a passionate and vibrant person who despised guns, embodying a spirit that found joy in life and warmth in her relationships. Tragically, her life ended abruptly on February 12, 2019, and while her death was ruled a suicide, I firmly believe that she was murdered. Now, her father, Douglas M. Blackmer, is bravely seeking justice as he sues Christopher Donovan, Jade’s former fiancé, for wrongful death.
